Job Title: IT Infrastructure and Network Administrator

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure and Network Administrator to oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our office's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing mail servers, LAN connections, CCTV systems, WiFi networks, biometrics connections, internet, and lease line-related networks to ensure seamless operations and security across our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Mail Server Management:
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot mail server systems to ensure reliable email communication for employees.
  • Monitor mail server performance, implement upgrades, and optimize configurations to enhance efficiency and security.
  • Administer user accounts, access permissions, and email security protocols.
  • LAN Connection Administration:
  • Manage and maintain local area network (LAN) infrastructure to ensure high-speed connectivity and data transmission.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and firewalls to optimize network performance and security.
  • Monitor network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and latency to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • CCTV System Oversight:
  • Install, configure, and maintain closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance systems to monitor and enhance office security.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks, camera adjustments, and software updates to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of CCTV systems.
  • Review CCTV footage as needed for security incidents, investigations, or compliance purposes.
  • WiFi Network Management:
  • Design, deploy, and manage wireless local area network (WiFi) infrastructure to provide seamless connectivity for office devices and employees.
  • Perform site surveys, analyze WiFi coverage, and optimize access point placement to ensure optimal signal strength and coverage.
  • Monitor WiFi network performance, identify areas of improvement, and implement enhancements to enhance reliability and speed.
  • Biometrics Connection:
  • Manage the configuration, integration, and maintenance of biometric authentication systems for access control and attendance tracking.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability between biometrics devices and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to biometrics connections, including device configuration, software updates, and data synchronization.
  • Internet and Lease Line Networks:
  • Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of internet and lease line connections to ensure high-speed and reliable connectivity.
  • Coordinate with internet service providers (ISPs) and lease line providers to resolve connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
  • Implement and enforce security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and content filtering, to protect network infrastructure from external threats.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, policies, and procedures to safeguard IT infrastructure, data, and privacy.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to IT security and network operations.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing mail servers, LAN/WAN connections, CCTV systems, WiFi networks, biometrics connections, and internet/lease line networks in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Experience with CCTV surveillance systems, WiFi network design, biometrics authentication systems, and internet/lease line connections.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and management.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP)
